Aspect-Oriented Modeling with Integrated Object Models

چکیده
With the advent of aspect-oriented programming, the need for adequate techniques for handling aspect-oriented artifacts in the early phases of the software engineering process has emerged. In this paper, we present an aspect-oriented language extension for an integrated modeling language based on object models. We present the way aspect constructs can be handled in requirements and architectural models, and identify the impact on existing modeling languages and models.

Modeling and Evaluation of Stochastic Discrete-Event Systems with RayLang Formalism
In recent years, formal methods have been used as an important tool for performance evaluation and verification of a wide range of systems. In the view points of engineers and practitioners, however, there are still some major difficulties in using formal methods. In this paper, we introduce a new formal modeling language to fill the gaps between object-oriented programming languages (OOPLs) us...

متن کاملModelsaz: An Object-Oriented Computer-Aided Modeling Environment
Modeling and simulation of processing plants are widely used in industry. Construction of a mathematical model for a plant is a time-consuming and error-prone task. In light of extensive advancements in computer science (both hardware and software), computers are becoming a necessary instrument in industrial activities. Many software tools for modeling, simulation and optimization of proces...
متن کاملOn the Scalability Criterion for Comparing Modeling Approaches
The Comparing Modeling Approaches (CMA) workshop series aims at providing a common relevant case study and a growing collection of criteria to compare different modeling approaches, from aspect-oriented to object-oriented and beyond. Among criteria to be defined and integrated, scalability is particularly relevant as the Model-Driven Engineering community identifies it as one of the main challe...
متن کاملIdentifying Aspectual Use Cases Using a Viewpoint-Oriented Requirements Method
The success of large-scale software systems depends on how accurate the huge amount of requirements is elicited and analysed by software engineers. Requirements engineering provides suitable approaches to define requirements of such systems in a systematic way. For example, viewpoint and object-oriented approaches have adequate mechanisms to reach these purposes. Nevertheless, the crosscutting ...
